The Counting House pub, established in 1996 was the first Wetherspoons to arrive in Scotland. It is housed in the former Bank of Scotland building. A stunningly grand glass domed ceiling is framed by Italian renaissance style statues that gaze down on the bar, weighing scales in hand.
Every Wetherspoons has a bespoke carpet reflecting the building s history and in this case the gaudy mixture of shapes reflect the golden laurel wreaths adorning heads of the statues.
